What is the Film Cooperative «My BF — ATM»?
Common Boiler
All investments and income go into a single, transparent cooperative budget.
Labor = Share
Participants hours of work (labor) are counted and converted into a share of the profits just like money.
Fair Distribution
After the release and covering of expenses, all profits are divided among the participants annually for 20 years.
Legal Basis
Each of our films is a separate cooperative created according to the global industrial model of an SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle).
Legally, «My BF — ATM» is a Kooperatīvā sabiedrība» (Cooperative), registered in Latvia. It was created solely for the production and monetization of this specific film. The «My BF — ATM» cooperative (and, accordingly, its participants) will own 100% of the rights (IP) to the film.
The production company, «CommiCorp», acts as the managing partner and provides the cooperative with its assets (equipment, expertise, resources) in exchange for a stake in the project. This structure ensures maximum legal protection and transparency for all participants.

Art Belongs to the Future
Why our copyright is not eternal
The Hollywood model is to hold art hostage for 75+ years. Our model is to give it freedom.
We believe 20 years (one generation) is a fair period for commercial profit. After that, a film should belong to culture.
Legal Obligation
«My BF — ATM» Cooperative’s Charter legally stipulates:
«Premiere Date + 20 Years = Public Domain.
Exactly 20 years after its release, the film will be released under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA license. This means anyone can legally distribute, sell, and create new works (sequels) based on it, under one condition—that they too be free.
Questions and Risks
+ What is the legal guarantee?
In legal contracts.
+ What if the movie flops at the box office?
Film production is a high-risk business. If we fail, we all lose our invested labor and capital. But our model doesn’t include loans, deferred payments, or other expenses that might arise after a film’s release, meaning everything we earn after the release is ours. Plus, we preserve our production assets for the next project and will make the next film with our team, connections, and experience.
+ How exactly are shares calculated?

+ When does profit payment occur?
Will take place after the annual vote of the cooperative members in December of each year.
